Andhra Pradesh:17 tonnes of PDS rice seized

Civil supplies authorities have seized around 17 tonnes of rice meant for public distribution system (PDS) at the Durganagar godown of Gajuwaka zone in Vizag city. The officials said the rice was stored in the godown to transport it to ships from a port in Vizag. Based on the complaint from the authorities, the Gajuwaka police have registered a case and took two persons into their custody for interrogation.
