Income Tax Raids Uncover Over Rs 80 Crore Undisclosed Income in Jharkhand & Bihar Rice Trade

 Income tax (I-T) raids conducted against the Baba Group of Industries and other rice traders in Jharkhand and Bihar have uncovered undisclosed income exceeding Rs 80 crore, sources said.
According to sources, the I-T department’s Ranchi investigation wing seized cash amounting to Rs 5 crore and jewellery worth Rs 10 crore. In addition, undisclosed stock — including paddy and rice valued at Rs 50 crore—and undisclosed properties worth Rs 15 crore were detected during the searches. The raids, which began last Thursday at around 40 locations across Jharkhand and Bihar, continued on Monday. On the day, search operations were underway at approximately five locations in Ranchi and in Bihar.
