Assam: Darrang DC Inspects Rice Mill For Operational Review And Expansion Plans

District Commissioner of Darrang Parag Kumar Kakati visited the FRK Rice Mill project in Rohinikash, Dalgaon today to assess its operations and explore opportunities for further growth. The rice mill is an important unit under the Industry Department.

Kakati was accompanied by the Additional District Commissioner (ADC) of Darrang Manash Kumar Saikia during the visit.

Meanwhile, DC Varnali Deka, IAS, served as an external evaluator and visited PM Shri Ghograpar Secondary School in Nalbari. During her visit, she engaged with students to assess their learning progress through various activities and discussions. She also spoke with teachers to understand their teaching methods, classroom challenges, and areas for improvement.

Gunotsav, an initiative by the Assam government, aims to improve education in government schools. The program evaluates schools to identify areas where students need support, enhances teaching methods, and works to improve student performance.

The external evaluation provides an unbiased assessment of the education system and helps in planning future improvements.

In a related development, State Education Minister Ranoj Pegu had visited two schools in Kahilipara, Guwahati, on January 21 as part of Gunotsav 2025. Faguna Rava High Secondary School and Lakshminath Bezbarua ME School were visited by the minister.

He participated in the program and mentioned that the second phase of the evaluation involved over 6,200 external evaluators assessing over 14 lakh students in more than 15,000 schools across the state.
