Sona Machinery expands global reach with high-tech rice mill launch in Kenya

Sona Machinery’s global expansion took a significant step forward with the inauguration of its advanced rice milling unit in Kibos, Kenya, by President William Ruto. 

This installation is a milestone in Kenya’s agricultural modernisation efforts and underscores Sona Machinery’s growing international presence.

The new facility, replacing an older mill, features a fully pneumatic system designed for enhanced efficiency, precision, and durability. 

This upgrade is set to revolutionise local rice milling, minimising downtime, boosting yield, and providing new opportunities for regional rice producers.

Chairman & Managing Director Vasu Naren expressed pride in the project, noting its role in advancing Kenya’s rice production and demonstrating Sona Machinery’s commitment to agricultural transformation in Africa and beyond.
